Having always harboured a passion for creative gourmet cooking, at the age of 20 Nathalie Delormeau graduated from the prestigious French culinary arts school Le Cordon Bleu in London.
From her early years as a professional in the world of fashion and interior design, Nathalie was to retain an impeccable taste for colours and materials, a rigorous attention to detail, and a very special love of beauty, authenticity and charm.
2001 was the year Nathalie decided to embark on her adventure as a restaurateur, opening her memorable restaurant, “Natachef” (paris 16), with imaginative cuisine and an innovative concept. With an open kitchen, cookery classes, the sale of themed tableware that had been on display for three months in the restaurant, she knew how to captivate a curious and sophisticated clientèle.
Without ever abandoning her passions, Nathalie likes to welcome her guests as friends and has embarked on a culinary venture to share her desires, her creations and the things she adores. The keen sense of sharing and togetherness, combined with constantly changing flavours, has proved to be a winning formula.
A weekend in the Eure Valley was all it took to fall in love. It became obvious to her that she had to leave Paris. Once settled in the region, she longed to find an outlet for her dynamism and entrepreneurial spirit. As luck would have it, she became entranced by a hotel that was virtually derelict. The adventure began with building renovations, refurbishment, her beloved tartans, the menu and recipes. The BEL AMI was born…
